Solar Signs Save Lives and the Environment

School crossing zones and construction areas can be a hazardous place for children and workers.  Construction areas, especially those along the highway, are especially dangerous for the workers who are trying to better the streets for the drivers.  Traditional, unlit signs that say stop or slow down do not always work even in their bright colors.

 

One way to reduce risk and increase exposure is through LED solar safety signs.  LED safety signs bring attention to hazardous areas such as the school crossing or construction areas by using solar power panels to generate flashing LED lights that surround the letters on the sign.  This has been proven to attract more attention than a normal sign without flashing lights.  Additionally, since the solar safety signs use the sun’s power they are maintenance-free and are eco-friendly which makes sense in this global warming atmosphere of today’s planetary condition.  There is no electricity needed and therefore the school or construction company or municipality that places the signs in the streets saves money.

 

When people driving in cars see the flashing LED lights, their attention is diverted to the sign and they are more likely to do what it says like stop, slow down, beware of high-voltage lines, oncoming fire trucks or anything that may be of danger to the them as they driver to protect themselves as well as to protect others such as construction workers, pedestrians or schoolchildren.

 

There are a number of signs available including solar powered stop signs, vehicle directional instructions, pedestrian safety, plant turnarounds, parking lot safety, school zone safety and homeland security safety signs.  Custom-designed signs are also available to meet unique needs.  If a company or school has a budget concern, there are rent to own signs that many cities are using today. The signs will be put in place and monthly payments are taken until the units are paid off.
